Vrrroooom!

Check out my sweet ride! I drove her all around the mall today! Turning left, turning right, waving at everyone I passed. It was WAY better than my usual stroller!

After Mommy and Daddy dragged me to IKEA (although I DID get to taste a hotdog there), then Queen Elizabeth Park for a walk and photo taking session, and then through the mall looking for a new pair of shoes I was getting pretty grumpy. Until that is they let me drive the car around. Then I was pretty happy. Although you can't really tell from my picture. I'm too busy taking the driving very seriously. It is, after all, a very serious task.

Today I went to Queen Elizabeth Park with Daddy, Auntie Veronica and Uncle Tony. We had lots of fun climbing trees and playing, and Uncle Tony took lots of nice pictures of us :)

This is when Daddy wanted me to take a nap so he covered me with his coat . I wasn't quite ready to sleep yet as you can see!

Playing with Daddy

Daddy & I playing with one of my cardboard boxes. This one has a special spy hole that I installed.

Zzzzzzzz.....

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to announce, that for almost three full weeks... I have been sleeping. Mommy and Daddy are beside themselves with joy, and I must admit I'm enjoying it as well. I used to sleep for a while, then wake for a while, then sleep for a while... often I would wake up for hours at a time in the middle of the night. Mommy & Daddy were exhausted. I did it for a whole year and a half.

Three weeks ago Mommy decided to try cutting my daytime nap to 1 hour. No more. Lots of days that's all I sleep anyways, but if I go over, they will wake me up. The results? Three weeks of sleep at night! Coincidence? Perhaps... but regardless, something is working! I will still wake briefly for my soother, or a sip of water or a brief cuddle, but am now back to sleep within minutes.

I am asleep by about 7:45 or 8:00pm and usually wake up around 6:30am now when Mommy gets up for work. Well, really I start waking up around 6:00am, but I have snuggle time with Mommy and Daddy for about 1/2 hour before really getting up for the day.

I think it's making Mommy and Daddy pretty happy... apparently Mommy even got a comment at work that she has some kind of spring in her step these days and doesn't look so haggard... I guess a non-haggard Mommy is a good thing :)

Here's to many more nights of SLEEP!!

The Wiggles!

Today was the big day. The day Mommy has been anticipating on my behalf for quite some time. The day of our live Pop go the Wiggles show at Pacific Coliseum.
Daddy had to work today, so Mommy and I set out on the adventure ourselves. Mommy managed to get us all the way there without getting lost!

There were cool Wiggles shirts and toys, but I was too impatient to stand in line for them and dragged Mommy away. We found our seats but I didn't feel like sitting there and waiting, so we walked up and down staircases until the show finally began! First it was some dressed up ballerinas and animals singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Then, finally, the Wiggles drove out in their Big Red Car!! Mommy was so excited her hands were shaking when she tried to take a picture! I thought it was kinda neat, but after a while I didn't really want to sit there anymore and wriggled and yelled and kicked of my boot and threw things on the ground. Mommy figured maybe we would walk around a bit.
I mostly wanted to go outside and play in the sun, so part way through that's what we ended up doing. All in all it went well... Mommy got to see her beloved Wiggles and a couple songs she really likes and I thought it was okay enough.

We drove all the way home (again, Mommy was a Rock Star and didn't get lost) and I had a little nap. It was an awesome adventure with Mommy that I'm sure she'll always remember :)

Mommy & I outside before the show

The Wiggles Stage!

Playing in my seat! It was fun and went up and down!

Finally THE WIGGLES in their Big Red Car!!

Anthony, Murray & Sam :)

Tuckered out on the drive home.

Mmmm Ice Cream!

Today Mommy & I took advantage of the sunshine and warm weather. We figured it was warm enough out that we deserved a trip to Dairy Queen. Mommy got a small strawberry sundae, which was HUGE. We shared it on a bench on Granville Street and watched the people and cars go by. It was DELICIOUS! I showed everyone how excited I was by screaming and jumping around like crazy.

Sunday

I'm feeling a tiny bit better. I spent the day being cute and eating raisins. When I wasn't grumpy.

Sick Again.

Just when I thought I was all better... I got sick again. I came down with a fever and my cough came back. Mommy & Daddy took
me to the Dr. for my 18 month checkup. The Dr. said my chest sounded good and my ear infection was gone, so I've just caught a new virus. As of this morning my fever is gone though, so I'm hoping that means I'm on the road to recovery. I've been feeling too sick to sleep or eat, so I'm pretty tired and cranky.

I did get a new grocery cart, groceries and crayons though, so I've been having some fun with those. Yesterday I pushed my cart all over the house and drew pictures with Mommy using my new crayons and a bunch of Spiderman stickers.

At my appointment they tried to weigh me and got 22lbs. We're not really sure though. I was pretty unhappy and didn't hold still for them to get a good weight. The Dr. didn't even try to measure me.

This video is from about a week ago, Mommy just hasn't had time to post it. It's me helping Mommy clean up!
