Fun with Windows

Daddy was outside on the balcony painting yesterday. I decided to make some funny faces through the glass to make him laugh. He thought they were picture worthy!

The Mischief Continues...

I am on a roll. After yesterday's chair trickery I have decided to keep at it. This morning I dumped a whole box of Cheerio's on the floor and then tried to eat them all really fast before Mommy could sweep them up.

I can CLIMB!

Much to Mommy and Daddy's shock... I can now climb up onto the chair in our living room! Presumably I can also climb onto the couch as it is the same height...

We were playing in the living room this afternoon, when Mommy turned around and saw THIS:


I proceeded to try and destroy the lamp from my new vantage point...


And then leaned over and tried to pull electrical cords from the wall...


Now Mommy is worried the living room may not only end up table-less, but chair and couch-less as well...

Me... I'm just proud to be such a sneaky, sneaky boy...

Banana Pancakes and Curly Hair!

Yesterday Mommy made me bananas coated in pancake for lunch! She sliced them up into tiny circles and dipped them in batter then cooked them... I at 8 of them, they were YUMMY!!

It was very hot yesterday, so my hair was all curly and sweaty. This is a picture of me eating my lunch and being silly :)

11 Month Update.

Technically I am not 11 months until next week, but thought I should post an update on everything that's been going on lately! Read on for new and exciting Cooper news!

Accomplishments

Not only can I walk... I can run! And fast. I can run back and forth, all over the room, maneuvering around tight corners and turning on a dime! I even walked all the way home from the park last week! (Daddy held my hand of course!) I can stand up with nothing to hold onto... straight from sitting the standing just by pushing off the ground! I can bend over and pick things up off the ground and then stand back up without falling too! I can wave bye-bye, give kisses and hugs, sign milk, play peekaboo by hiding under a blanket or behind the curtains and shake my head NO when I don't want something!

Favorite Toys

Bead & Wire Maze, Musical Telephone, Musical Ladybug, Leap Frog Activity Table, Bath Tub Letters and Squirty toys, Balls & Cups... anything I can throw or smash or bang on something. I also love books... cardboard books. I like my Baby Beluga the best, and also Guess How Much I Love you. Sometimes I like to chew them, but what I really love is turning the pages back and forth over and over. Sometimes I let Mommy read them to me, but usually I get impatient!

Favorite Foods

Grapes!! Running a close second are: french toast, pancakes with apples and cinnamon, yogurt, applesauce, Arrowroot cookies, bites of banana, cheese and my old standby: toast. I also tried a bite of smoked salmon last week... it was yummy :)

Words

I am a man of few words. My favorite, and lets face it... pretty much only word, is still MOM. I also say baba... but it doesn't really mean anything specific. Daddy is hoping I will say Daddy soon... I almost said Elmo last week. I don't think he'll be very impressed if I say that first...

Favorite TV Shows

My very favorite is Elmo!! I like Elmo's World, Sesame Street, and my Elmo DVD's. My favorites are Elmo In Grouchland and Elmo Says Boo! I also like to watch Pingu, Blues Clues and shows on Treehouse.

Favorite Music

My favorite songs are Baby Beluga, If you're Happy and you Know it, and You are my Sunshine (though Mommy alters the words to You are Mommy's Sunshine). Mommy & Daddy also try to make sure I listen to plenty of Classic Rock. They've been pushing that stuff on my since I was in Mommy's belly :)

Teeth

Today, after much pain and anticipation, tooth number SEVEN broke through! Mommy is hoping this will end my grumpy streak ;)

Bedtime
Every night I have my bath at 7pm, and then play in bed with Mommy and fall asleep around 7:30. I usually get up for the day around 6:30am.

Playtime
Since I began walking, Mommy and Daddy have been taking me to the play area at the mall where I have made lots of friends. I run around like a crazy boy and try to get everyone to play with me. I love to scream and let everyone know how much fun I'm having... sometimes I scare the other kids away... even big kids! I am definitely not a shy one...
Mommy is also thinking of signing me up for some swimming lesson, so I'll keep you up to date on that!

Baby Ella

This is Auntie Brooke's new baby Ella Catherine!! She was born on August 8th, at 9:58 am and weighed 7lbs.

Mommy is very excited that Jacob has a little sister, and that Auntie Brooke had a baby GIRL! She says one day Ella might be my girlfriend :P

So much cooler than my stroller!!

So Mommy & Daddy decided it was about time I got one of those cool back pack carriers. Mommy likes it because she doesn't have to push me in the stroller because Daddy is carrying me. This leaves her hands free for coffee. Daddy likes it because it leaves his hands free for picture taking. Mommy & Daddy both like that it allows them to go more places that a stroller can't go... like off-roading on fun trails. I like it because it makes me taller than everybody, I can see everything that is going on, and I even have a shade from the sun and a pillow to sleep on! This is a picture of Daddy and I ready to head out for a fun adventure :P


In other news I am walking like a pro now, am working on my seventh tooth, and enjoy eating toast, yogurt and apple sauce. I've rebelled against vegetables and meat. Sometimes Mommy tricks me into eating tofu that tastes like peaches and mangoes ;)

Today I said a word that sounded like "Elmo". Daddy was not impressed as I have yet to learn to say his name....
