Van Dusen Gardens

Well we finally went to the gardens on Tuesday! It was a really warm and sunny day, so I got slathered in sun block and got to wear my shorts and sun hat. It was a fun day. I slept through the first part of the walk, so I missed the giant bird that I'll have Mommy include a picture of. I did however see some huge mouthed Koi fish, lots and lots of pretty flowers and a big maze made out of shrubs! There were also lots of bees flying around and Mommy kept screaming and running. She's pretty funny. Thank goodness for Daddy...someone's gotta keep cool around the bees! I'll leave you with a bunch of pictures from our family trip to the gardens :)

Today I would like to share some pictures of me and my Daddy taken this past week. I have the best Daddy in the entire world. He plays with me and cuddles me and carries me and dresses me and baths me and teaches me and kisses me and loves me sooooo much! We are a couple good looking fellows. That's why Mommy takes so many pictures of us!

Well we didn't get to the gardens... it was too cloudy and my teeth hurt way too much. Mommy's saying tomorrow. But that didn't stop us from looking at some pretty flowers. This is me and Mommy flower shopping. We ended up choosing a Japanese Maple and some tulips.

Cooper the Crazy Crawling Baby!

In honor of Mother's Day and all that my Mommy & Daddy have taught me I thought I would update everyone on my latest achievements!

As the title states... I am a Crazy Crawling Machine! Now that I can crawl I don't want to stay still! I crawl when I am on the ground, I crawl in bed, I even try to crawl when Mommy & Daddy are carrying me! I climb pillow barricades or just plow straight through them with my head! Wires, prickly plants, plastic bags and sharp corners intrigue me. I am very stealthy. And very quick. I can even get myself back to sitting after I've been crawling now! I'm working on standing up. I can get up on my two knees but when I try to push with my foot I end up back on all fours. Yesterday Mommy & Daddy took me looking for baby gates... apparently they plan to make a giant pen for me. Like I'm some kind of animal or something... like that will stop me!

Speaking of shopping... Mommy & Daddy bought all of this baby food making stuff... seems Mommy want to try her hand at steaming and pureeing things for me to eat. Whatever makes her happy I guess... (as long as it tastes good!)

Now onto diapers. I have been wearing size 4 diapers for about a week now! After 2 giant night time leak-outs Mommy decided something had to change. She deduced that perhaps the problem was my diapers not fitting right. I am not a big boy, but I am tall so the size 3's just didn't sit high enough anymore. The size 4's are great. No more leaks! That makes Mommy very happy.

Next order of business... teeth. Tooth number two is here! Well.... basically. You can see it, it's pushed way out... it's just underneath a pesky layer of skin that refuses to pop. It hurts really bad. Sometimes it wakes me from my sleep and makes me cry. Thank goodness for icecubes and mesh feeders... and for Khai's Mommy for telling my Mommy about that trick :)

Well... that's about it for updates today. It is Mother's Day so I'm going to let Mommy take a break from typing now. We're going to Van Dusen Gardens to look at lots and lots of pretty flowers!! I'll have Mommy post some pictures of our trip later!

MY FIRST TOOTH!!!

Mommy & Daddy took me shopping today and we got all sorts of cute stuff for summer and our vacation to Ontario next month! Here are some shots of me modeling my new wardrobe!

ALSO.... I CAN CRAWL!!! I've been getting around for quite a while by wiggling and rolling and kinda-crawling but now I can actually get up on hands and knees and inch forward in true crawling fashion :) I can't go far this way and it's still kinda new, but any day now I'll be whipping around the house :)
