Trek around Vancouver

Today Mommy, Daddy & I went out early and took a huge walk all around Vancouver. Daddy took tons and tons of pictures. I've posted my favorites for you. (All of me. Daddy also took lots of pictures of the city!)

We took the bus downtown, then walked from Robson to the water, around the Sea Wall, then over the Cambie bridge all the way to Granville Island then up to Broadway and took the bus back home!

It was really hot and sunny and we were all really tired when we finally made it back home late in the afternoon. Here are some pictures from our walk!

Tasting Mommy's Vendor Dog downtown before heading to the Sea Wall.

Playing at a park under the bridge in False Creek.

Going down the blue twirly slide on my tummy!

Yelling at Daddy from the top of the red tube slide!
Driving in a sweet car I found at the park.
Swinging!
My first time at a water park! It was reaalllly hot out!

Artwork

Some art made by Mommy & I today!

Uh-Oh!

As some of you may know I've been taking my time in the talking department. I'm far too busy dancing and screaming and climbing and getting into mischief. I now, however, can say "uh-oh"! Add that to Mama, Dadda and hi and I now have four words!
I can also woof like a doggy, bzzzz like a bee and vroom like a car. I am babbling away and making new sounds each and every day. I can say partial things for words, like ch ch zzz for cheese and and bay for baby. I still mostly like to show Mommy what I want though by either leading her to what I want or pointing at it and screaming. I think though, that I am getting very close to saying lots more words!!

Mothers Day!

Today was Mommy's 2nd Mother's day! Daddy took the day off of work so we could all spend it together. Mommy and Daddy were pretty busy with going through boxes and packing stuff most of the day. I like playing with the boxes. I climb in them and on them, and even made myself a bench in the front hall as you can see.

These are some flowers Daddy & I got for Mommy. (Yes, my parents keep Halloween decor up year round...)

While Mommy and Daddy were busy working away I decided to put all of my toys on the balcony. Note the upside down grocery cart in the plants.

Going through boxes of stuff is fun because you come across lots of cool things to play with. Like these glasses and this witch hat!

Shots

So today was the big day. The shots. I had my 18 month check up about a month ago, but they don't do shots at my Dr.'s office anymore, you have to go to a clinic that they hold once a month at a different place. So today I got my shots. This time there were only two which was a relief after the FOUR I had to get last time.

It wasn't so bad. I didn't freak out upon arrival because it wasn't a Dr.'s office, it had a big room room with kids and toys which was pretty cool. They had a big playhouse with a secret door I played in. The room where I got my shots didn't really look like a Dr.'s office so I was taken by surprise a bit. I cried of course when they gave me my shots, but only for a minute.

Mommy had to go to work after so I decided to give Daddy a really rough day and cry a whole lot. The one shot I got was for measles, mumps and rubella. I had that one last time too and it gave me a really bad fever and rash 7 days later. I'm reaaalllly hoping that doesn't happen again!

I should also update that I went for my hearing test yesterday and everything went really well. I seem to hear just fine :) I got to play with some cool toys, so it wasn't too bad either.

And guess what the best part of all of this is? NO MORE SHOTS UNTIL KINDERGARTEN!!!!!
