Tee-tee and Co-wee!

My very favorite treat? Candy corn.

I'm not sure how it first happened that I was given a piece of candy corn. Mommy or Daddy probably felt overcome with Halloween spirit one day and decided to allow me a taste of the delicious orange and yellow candy. Ever since I have woken each morning begging for "Co-wee!" Fallen asleep each night murmuring "Cooo-weeee"....

Okay, this is a bit of an exaggeration. Sometimes I wake up calling for "I-seem". (Ice cream). Thought it is very rare that I get either of these treats.

Enter toilet training. Grandma decided to start showing me where poopies and tee tee go. (Tee tee being pee pee of course.) Mommy decided to follow suit. Now they have me dumping poopies from my diaper into the toilet and sitting on the toilet pushing as hard as I can with promises of a Co-wee for tee-tees. The last couple of days I have managed to do some tee-tees in the potty. No poopies yet, but I'm trying pretty hard. That co-wee is a great motivator.

As we speak I am savouring today's hard earned Co-wee. Unfortunately my Mommy does not yet have a good picture of me on the potty like Zach's Mommy, but rest assured I'm sure one is on the way...

Pumpkin Patch 2008

Yesterday we took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch! This year it was a new pumpkin patch since we're out East now. It was called Pingle's Farm. It was pretty cool. There was a whole area called the Fun Farm for us kids. There were pedal bike tracks, a corn maze, animals to feed, sand to play in, toys, jump castles... it was a lot of fun and I ran everywhere and made Mommy chase me all over. I went with my friends Jacob, Cain & Ella and their parents Brooke, Ryan & Chrissy. And of course Mommy and Daddy. It was really sunny and really hot and the grown ups got tired before we did. We all went out for lunch then came back home to play for a bit. You can see all of the pictures here. (Password: autumncoast)

Peterborough Zoo

Today I went to the Peterborough Zoo with Mommy, Daddy, Brooke, Jacob and Ella. I was there once last year when we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa, but I was still a little too young to enjoy the animals as much as I did this year. They had a new otter exhibit this time which was really cool. It was probably my favorite part of the zoo! The train ride wasn't running this time since it's after summer now, but it was still really fun. You can see all of the pictures of us at the zoo right here. (Password - autumncoast)

CHEESE!

I have learned how to say "CHEEEEEEZE" and put on a huge smile just for the camera! Here, Daddy & I put on our best smiles at bath time! I like to pose and then look at myself on the display screen after every picture is taken :P

Today I learned how to look through the digital camera and push the button to take pictures of Mommy and Daddy! Daddy is so impressed that I'm following in his photo taking footsteps!

I'm TWO!

Happy Birthday to me! Today I
am two whole years old! I had a great Pirate Birthday here in Ontario with my new friends, and a great party in Vancouver at Uncle Bill and Aunt Carol's before we left! I got three cakes in total! I've had a lot of practice blowing out candles this month with Oma, Opa, Grandpa and I all having our Birthdays in September!

I've been having lots of fun here with my new friends Jacob, Cain and Ella. We play together all the time and do fun stuff like going to the park and the zoo. I like to give my new friends lots of hugs and kisses and say "Ella" all the time now. I'm talking a whole bunch, copying words and even putting some words together now, like "night night sheba" to Grandma and Grandpa's doggy! I know the color blue and can recognize letters "M", "L" and "O". I can even draw a circle when asked, even if it's a little messy :) Basically I'm growing up really fast right before Mommy's eyes and she can hardly believe how much I've changed in the past month. Which I suppose is fitting since I'm officially TWO now and officially a toddler and can now proceed to my full on TERRIBLE two's :P I can hardly wait to see what this year has in store for me!!

Oh, and we got an apartment in Ottawa, so in November we'll be moving there and I will have my very own bedroom for the first time ever! Of course I'll probably still sleep with Mommy & Daddy since they're so great for snuggling, but I'll have my own bed and space for all my stuff which is pretty cool!

Three more days.

We are back! I spent the last 3 weeks in Comox with my Mommy & Daddy at my Oma's house! We returned to Vancouver yesterday and leave for Ontario on Sunday. Yesterday after our long ferry and car trip Daddy went to an Alice Cooper signing. Today Mommy, Daddy and I have been packing! Tomorrow Mommy and Daddy are going to an Alice Cooper concert and Auntie Veronica is going to babysit me! On Saturday the mover's will pick up our things, and on Sunday we are flying out of BC, to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's in Ontario until we move into our apartment in Ottawa.

We had a really good trip to the island, and even had visitors! Auntie Veronica and Uncle Tony came to visit for a few days and so did Uncle Phil and Auntie Melissa. Daddy took tons and tons of really great pictures, and we took tons of great trips to really cool places. I've grown up a whole lot in the last 3 weeks according to Mommy. I can fall asleep with no rocking & no white noise and have started sleeping until 7am or later. I don't even need a baby monitor anymore. I've started imitating a lot of sounds and actions and have expanded my vocab to more than 40 words in the past few weeks. One of my favorite words is now MOON. We don't see the moon in the city, but at Oma's I saw the moon every night. The stars too. And lots of trees and water.

Daddy hasn't had time to edit many pictures yet, but I have included a few as a sneak peek. I'll leave you a link once the rest are added to Daddy's website.

Next time you hear from me, I'll be all the way across the country in Ontario...
