This is Auntie Brooke's new baby Ella Catherine!! She was born on August 8th, at 9:58 am and weighed 7lbs.
Mommy is very excited that Jacob has a little sister, and that Auntie Brooke had a baby GIRL! She says one day Ella might be my girlfriend :P

So Mommy & Daddy decided it was about time I got one of those cool back pack carriers. Mommy likes it because she doesn't have to push me in the stroller because Daddy is carrying me. This leaves her hands free for coffee. Daddy likes it because it leaves his hands free for picture taking. Mommy & Daddy both like that it allows them to go more places that a stroller can't go... like off-roading on fun trails. I like it because it makes me taller than everybody, I can see everything that is going on, and I even have a shade from the sun and a pillow to sleep on! This is a picture of Daddy and I ready to head out for a fun adventure :P
In other news I am walking like a pro now, am working on my seventh tooth, and enjoy eating toast, yogurt and apple sauce. I've rebelled against vegetables and meat. Sometimes Mommy tricks me into eating tofu that tastes like peaches and mangoes ;)
Today I said a word that sounded like "Elmo". Daddy was not impressed as I have yet to learn to say his name....

My New Car @ Oma's
Just a day short of my 10 month Birthday.... I am walking!! It started with a step or two here and there over the past few days. By last night I was up to 4 or 5 steps... and today I am managing to make it almost all the way across the room!!
Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me! Mommy is so sad that I am growing up so fast, but she is so happy that I am such a smart and skilled little guy ;)
Unfortunately my big moment was not caught on video as apparently Mommy and Daddy were not prepared and had no tapes... and couldn't find the old camera that takes videos... and upgraded to a camera that doesn't take videos... but they made do with a montage of photos that are posted below!
How could I forget to mention my favorite new toy?? This is a video of me dancing to my new activity table... it's pretty fun. I think Mommy enjoys it as much as me... she's always hogging it.
Mommy and I decided to post a few pictures from the summer thus far.
We've done lots of fun stuff! We went to Stanley Park and played with goats and animals at the petting zoo. We also rode a train all around the park!
We go to the park by our house a lot. Here is a picture of me playing on the slide! I also like to swing with Mommy and Daddy!
My four teeth are really coming through as you can see in another picture! I've taken to dancing and standing A LOT... Mommy says I will be walking in no time!
Also... I've learned to say Mama!! I say it all the time. Daddy says I have to work on saying Dada now...
It's been very hot here so I've been playing in my kiddie pool on the balcony to keep cool. We only just got the kiddie pool today, so earlier in the week we were improvising with a big plastic bowl as you can see...
Mommy & Daddy have planned lots of fun day trips for the rest of the summer, so I will update with pictures and stories very soon!
